Our story

Made by hand, start to finish

We opened Ember & Bean for the slow part of the morning: the first sip, the clink of cups, the smell of something just out of the oven.

01 Every shot is weighed and timed. If it is not right, it goes down the sink.
Poached eggs on smashed avocado and sourdough, finished with chilli flakes
02 Eggs from a farm twenty minutes away, bread from the bakery across the yard.

03 Latte art optional, but our team rarely resists.

  • Honestly the best flat white in town. Silky, never scorched, and they remember I like it extra hot.

  • Perfect on a rainy Tuesday. Window seat, cardamom bun, a good book. Didn’t want to leave.

Gemma L.Tunbridge Wells · Cardamom bun

  • Third visit and they already knew my order. Small thing, but it makes a real difference to your morning.

    Mark D.Sevenoaks · Ember mocha

  • Lovely coffee, no fuss. The pancakes were a touch sweet for me, but the kids demolished them.
