Who we are
In short: We're Elevora Studios, and we look after the information you send us.
Elevora Studios is a web design studio based in the United Kingdom. Elevora Studios is a trading name of Jack Wiltshire, 8 Helvellyn Avenue, Ramsgate, Kent, CT11 0RS. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in this policy at elevorastudioss@gmail.com.
What we collect
In short: Only what you choose to send us, and what we need to deliver your services.
When you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name and email address, your business name if you give it, the package and any add-ons you are interested in, and anything you write in your message.
When you send the contact form, Netlify, our hosting provider, receives and stores your message and emails it to us. A hidden field helps filter out spam; we do not use any other tracking on the form.
If you become a client, we also keep your business details, the content you send us for your website, records of what you have bought and paid, and our emails with you. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
Why we use it
In short: To reply to you, deliver your website and run our business. We never sell your information.
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, send you a quote, build and support your website, provide any add-ons, take payment and keep business records.
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing our contract with you, complying with legal obligations such as tax record-keeping, and our legitimate interest in running our business. We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing without your permission.
Your customers' information
In short: If you use our AI receptionist or Missed‑Call Text, we handle your callers' details on your behalf.
When we provide the AI receptionist or Missed‑Call Text, we process information about your callers, such as their phone number, name, the reason for their call and booking details. We do this on your behalf and only to provide the service. You are the data controller for that information, and we act as your data processor.
To run these services we use Twilio for phone numbers and text messages, Vapi and the voice and AI providers it connects to for the AI receptionist, and Google Calendar for bookings. These providers act as our sub-processors, and each works under its own data processing terms.
We give you a data processing agreement to read and accept before these services start. It sets out what we do with your callers’ information, how we keep it secure and what happens to it when the service ends.
Cookies and tracking
In short: This website doesn't use cookies or trackers.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not store anything on your device.
If you take monthly support, any analytics we set up on your own website are covered by your website’s privacy policy, not this one.
Services that help us run this website
In short: A few trusted services see basic technical details when you visit, as with any website.
To show this website, your browser connects to a few outside services. Each one receives your IP address and basic browser details: Netlify, our hosting provider, which serves the pages and receives contact form messages; Google Fonts, which provides our fonts; and jsDelivr, which provides the Three.js library for the 3D graphics.
Google processes the emails you send us, because we use Gmail, and Stripe processes card payments. Netlify, Google and Stripe each handle data for us under their own data processing terms. Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
In short: Enquiries for up to 2 years, and client records for 6 years for tax reasons.
We keep enquiries that do not lead to work for up to 2 years, then delete them from our inbox and from Netlify. We keep client records for 6 years after our work ends, because UK tax law requires us to keep business records. We keep your callers’ information only for as long as we provide the add-on, then delete it unless you ask us to send it to you.
Your rights
In short: You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct anything that is wrong, delete your information, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you or another organisation. Email us to make a request and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
In short: If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
